LOCATION
We’ll be meeting Friday 27th May between 5:30-7pm The Gap Station Yards (directions)

You will be met at the main station yards (right-hand side of the road) to be driven to the Bush Camp through 5km of scenic creeks and gorges. I will have coverage there so feel free to txt in your ETA so we can organise the shuttle 4WD.
Upon arrival, you will also receive a $50 fuel card to help with your travel.

The art camp is equivalent to assisted camping in the bush. Please prepare accordingly.

NEED TO KNOW
Once we embark from the pickup point you will quickly lose all phone reception.

All meals provided but bring hiking and night-time snacks
The artist camp is alcohol-free. Please don’t bring any pets.
There is a manually flushed septic toilet on-site as well as an outdoor gas hot water shower.

ART CAMP SCHEDULE

Friday 27th May
The camp and schedule are designed to be responsive and respectful of the needs of everyone attending.
Upon arrival, accommodation will be assigned, followed by a short induction of the campgrounds.
Welcome to Country Smoking Ceremony 8pm

Saturday 28th May
Enjoy a full breakfast by the chefs 9am
Artist Talk by Dave Laslett followed by discussions
Lunch 1pm
Photography Hang Out
Responsive, free play creativity
Summit Hike 5pm
Campfire Dinner 7pm

Relax and enjoy the stars as the fire burns and Chef Jonas Dare and team create another masterful set of dishes for you to enjoy.

Sunday 29th May 
Self-Guided Art / Hiking / Mindfulness Day
Enjoy a full breakfast by the chefs 9am
Grazing plates will be on offer, as visitors are given fresh water bottles to explore the surrounding areas for relaxation and visual inspiration.

Visitors will have free time to get into their creativity or utilize the many peaceful shady trees on the surrounding hills to be still and slow down their minds.
Dinner 7pm with campfire and reflections of the experience.

Monday 30th May
Enjoy a full breakfast by the chefs
Shuttle Leaves for early check out for visitors needing to get back

Assisted Creativity

Tuesday 31st May
Full Breakfast 9am
Shuttle back to Stock Yards

SAFETY AND LIABILITY

By accepting this offer it is agreed that the camp is a stand-alone visit. There is no guarantee of the safety of your belongings and the facilitator, Dave Laslett and or the paid caregivers, bear any liability while you are visiting the Flinders Ranges. Please bring any valid medicines that you require and be aware of dangers when hiking in the area.
That being understood, we do have qualified first aid people on hand, a full first aid kit and an emergency plan.
FYI The closest hospital is 115km north.
COVID SAFETY \ If you feel unwell in the lead up to the camp please advise me of your Covid status for the safety of everyone involved.

MEDIA & CONSENTS

We will collect short questionnaires relating to your experience on this trip for acquittal purposes. These are anonymous. Elements of the camp will be filmed and photographed to promote the viability of art in remote areas to assist with further funding opportunities.
