Something vital to my existence, and it’s often very misunderstood, is being lost. The only way I can explain this concept and reality is by being free from expectation, routine and familiarity. Wherever this may occur.
Most of my time these days is spent alone, in the scrub, observing the wildlife and nature. Experiencing the gentle shift in the direction of the wind, a temperature drop as the clouds smother the sun or being woken by a travelling family of emus on their way to the water.
Removing distraction is crucial to creating without dilution and this is something this lifestyle provides me. Even among the misunderstanding and judgement this feels like my path for the foreseeable future.
